Princess Kristina

In Tønsberg today I passed by this statue telling the story about a Norwegian princess named Kristina. She was the daughter of Haakon Haakonson who was king from 1217-1263. He was one of the kings building up the fortress mentioned in the "Tønsberg Fortress" post. Princess Kristina was married to the Spanish Prince of Castilla only to die shortly afterwards.
