Prayer need: National Youth Prayer Movement in Norway

During the time in Finland I feel that God has made me pregnant with a great prayer burden. Through seeing the blessings that comes from Prayer Zone (Finland) and also through hearing testimonies from people involved in Youth Arise (Australia), I have seen the need for a national youth prayer movement in Norway. Please join in prayer that this comes into being.

Travel: Oslo

Today I went back to Oslo, Norway. Somehow it almost felt as if I were sent as a missionary from Finland to Norway, more than going back to my homeland. Maybe because I have felt so in love with Finland and finnish culture.

On fire: Fire Bearers Church

We found that the youth of Fire Bearers Church (Tulenkantajat Lähetys FbMission) live very dedicated to Jesus Christ. The girls we borrow an apartment from has no TV - only instruments for worship. They don’t listen to anything but christian music either. The church youth meet eachother almost daily for fellowship, worship and prayer. When we went to the streets and evangelised, they ran up to people with big heartily smiles and told them about Jesus. Also when we worship, they really give everything, not afraid of getting “sweat for Jesus”.

Inspiration: Hospitality

In Kuopia we were welcomed by some youth from the “Fire Bearers Church”. They showed us hospitality beyond what I would dream or hope for. Some of us slept in an apartment that was owned by two girls in the church. This girls packed their things, filled the apartment with food and slept with some friends.
Twice a day all of us ate together in another apartment. The youth from the church prepared delicious food for us every time. There was nothing indicating that what we ate at lunchtime was not the dinner.
Thankyou Fire Bearers Church. You accepted me as if I was an angel (Galatians 4:14).

Having fun: Finnish baptism

Please congratulate me. I'm now a real finn. After some time in the sauna today, I bathed in an iced lake, where they had cut a hole in the ice. I guess this could be called a finnish baptism.

Travel: Kuopio

Today we split the prayer team up in two groups and went to two different cities in Finland, Kuopio and Jyväskylä. I joined for Kuopio.

On fire: Finnish Youth

Anssi is a 16 year old finnish boy who prays with Prayer Zone. He gathered a few friends to do street evangelising on new years eve. They started praying for the outreach, and more and more youth joined them. When they finally went out, they were 40 young and eager evangelists telling the people on the streets of Riihimäki, close to Ryttylä, about Jesus Christ.
When they came back, some of them continued to pray all through the night.
