Visiting Notodden

From tuesday till today I visited Anne Maria in Notodden. It was so good to meet the christians there. The christian youth from the different churches in Notodden rent a cafe called "Krona" (The Crown) and have a youth group named "U:Live". I couldn't tell who was from what church, because they are so united and work so closely together. I felt so well received and accepted the moment I met them.

Yesterday the christian school group "Ny Generasjon" (New Generation) showed a video comparing evolution and creationism named "A Question of Origins" at the college in Notodden. I did some commercial for this video by talking with people in the cafeteria before it started. I also made balloon-figures and gave out tracts named "Vår Stamfar?" (It's also available in english under the name "Big Daddy").

Yesterday evening there was an Alpha-gathering at the cafe named "Krona". We had dinner and Anne Maria and me had some teaching about the subject: "How and why read the Bible".

Picture: Some of the guys in the christian school group "Ny Generasjon". The picture was taken after we had shown the video.

Relaxing Weekend

This weekend I went to a cottage with some friends. We had a good time talking, praying, worshipping God, prophesying and stuff. When we arrived at the cottage the sky was clearer than ever - We could see amazingly many stars. On Saturday we had incredible weather and went skiing to the top of a mountain. I love uphill and hate downhill. It's painful to go downhill lacking the balance and technique necessary to stay on my feet - eeehh skies I mean. It was actually about 10 years since the last time I've had skies on my feet. Pretty unusual for a norwegian, maybe....

Everyday Miracles

Today I was packing for a balloon decor job. I was kind of running down on time already when I didn't find some necessary equipment for the job. I was looking in every likely place, but couldn't find it. I got kind of desperate. I asked God where it was. Answer: 'In the basement'. I asked where in the basement. Answer: 'In a box'. I asked in what box. The answer was 'below'. Thing is that in the boxes below I didn't have any company stuff, or at least wasn't supposed to have it. So I took a look and found my important balloon accessories in between CD-disks and books and all kind of personal stuffed away belongings.

This is just an example of how God gives help in everyday situations. It's not every day I have this much of a problem finding something, but I do experience help from God on a daily basis in all kind of ways. Problem is when someone askes me to tell if God ever do something for me, I don't know what to say, because He is ALWAYS there and helps me with all kinds of things.

But that's not what it's all about. It's all about knowing Jesus as the wonderful person that He is. When I see just a glimpse of what He already has done for me on the cross. What pain He has endured for me.... I just fall on my knees and surrender my life into His hands....

Uganda

Today I spoke with a girl from Uganda. She said that in her country there is always a church in the neighbourhood, and they are always open. So the closest church is always just a short walk away and you can go there and pray and meet other christians whenever you want to. There is a lot of christians in Uganda.

Nigeria

This evening I talked with Chimy from Nigeria. In his home-place there are a lot of christians and many different churches. He said that most of the churches have different "brands" or specialities. For example there are a church that specialises on healing, and a lot of people are healed there. Another church is a faith church and a lot of people in this church are successfull businessmen. When they have a few minutes lunch break, they rush to their church to have some time of prayer with the others. If you are a christian in Nigeria, it's easier to get a job because the employer know that you can be trusted. Even here in Oslo there are four different Nigerian churches.

Hungry

Today me and Frank went to Lisa's place to pray more. May Kristin and Roy Kennet was also there. It was so good to spend the whole day with others that are really hungry for God. I pray I get more friends like them here in Oslo. Truth is I think that most people in Norway are satisfied with their lives. It is very few that are really hungry for God and willing to do whatever to see a breakthrough. Lead the movers and shakers together God. Lead together the few that are totally committed!

It's not just being willing to sacrifice your life, it's getting to the point where you don't see upon it as a sacrifice.

Visiting Lisa

Yesterday me and Frank visited Lisa. We had communion and talked a lot about the meaning of communion. Lisa made brownies and we watched a movie. Afterwards we prayed for a couple of hours. It was one of those prayer meetings that left us wanting more....

A New Blogger: Frank Jakob

My good friend Frank have now started a blog. Frank is a man of faith and lots and lots of ideas. Frank is the guy that got me started on the path of clowning. He learned me how to juggle and gave me the idea to start with balloons. He even tourned as a clown with me for a while. Frank is the one friend that was a solid rock for me when I was a unsecure newborn christian. Frank is the guy that got me started on filming and media, as I did for some time. Frank is the guy that learned me balanced spiritual warfare. I think that no other person on earth has inspired me as much as him. You can now read his blog and get inspired too:
