Party at Tøyen

Today I was at a party where Frank, Stig, Frode and Joakim lives - at Tøyen in Oslo. I met Øyvind there, who studies economy at BI (a school). We had some great conversations about small company accounting and investment strategies. I also met Lisa, a friend I haven't seen in a few years. Good to get updated on old friendships.

Clowning in Rælingen

Today I was at a small pentecostal church in Rælingen, just outside of Oslo. Rælingen is a small place peoplewise. If you drive by, you just see some farms and a few houses. Still the pentecostal church there gather a lot of children two times a year, having "Barnas Dag" (Childrens Day). They do a lot for the children at these days. Since there was snow this time, they had all kinds of outdoor activities, including snow scooter rides. Inside people had the possibility to warm themselves, fetch something to eat and drink and to get a balloon from the clown (me). They also had sessions inside with worship and drama. We even had a competition who of the children would make the greatest looking balloon figure. Some kids really took of. The girl who won wouldn't stop learning more, long after the competition was finished. Pretty fun :D

What I really like about this gathering is that it has a broad appeal in the neighbourhood. It's not just for the "christians". It's an arrangement where a lot of people from the area bring their children. Just so it is said: This church has good stuff going for the children the rest of the year also.

Prayer Support?

This morning I heard a sermon on the topic commitment by Simcha Juster on the internet. She says that when you dedicate yourself to something, it's important to have other people around you that support you in your dedication, so you don't stand alone. You can hear the message (english and norwegian) HERE.

Recently a friend told me that God has lead her to pray for my company. I can really feel and see the effect of this. I do believe God has told me to build a company. I do believe that in building this company I might provide economic blessing into Gods Kingdom. I also do believe that running a company give me the possibility to relate to a lot of people and influence them for The Kingdom. I also do believe that running a company is a good way to provide my personal income, giving me more flexibility in how I spend my time. A flexibility I can use in blessing other people. I do believe that I am currently in a learning process of how to build and run a company. I do believe that I can later use my gained experience in helping others to build companies. The company have also helped in opening doors for me to be able to talk about Jesus in nationwide media in Norway.

If God leads you to pray for me in my God-given struggle to build a company, please let me know. I will make a mailing list and send out prayer requests and testimonies from time to time.

Winter Emotions

The winter is such a lovely time. There is so much beautiful to see and it's so much fun to play in the snow. Yesterday evening I came home after five hours of straight clowning. I felt kind of exhausted, but I still didn't feel like sleeping, so in the late hours of the night I was out and had fun with my sloboggan (that's what you call those things you sit on while cruising down the snow-covered hills, isn't it?).

Pictures: I didn't bring my camera this night. Here are four pictures I've taken earlier this winter.

Action in New Room

Today we had the first children's meeting in the new room in Jesus Church. It was a lot of fun. We had a balloon drop with lots of balloons coming down from the roof, a "formal" opening with cutting of the line, worship, prayer, drama, games and competitions. Lots of fun :D

Megazone

Today I went to Megazone with a bunch of young people. We were shooting at eachother like crazy with Laser guns. Not to kill, only to get a good score. My first time trying this. I can't help thinking: Wouldn't real guns have been more fun? If they didn't kill, of course. Maybe I should try paintball?

EST - Saccheus in a tree

Today we had a EST gathering. Afterwards Karl Anders said some stuff about Saccheus in the tree (a Bible story).

Picture: Daniel, Georg and Eirik bond together with a balloon tree.

New Laptop

Today I received my new laptop. It's quite OK. Bigger, heavier and uglier than the iBook, but it do have a bigger and brighter screen. It only have 1,5 hours battery life with standard settings (estimated by the computer), but that's OK as long as it is a desktop replacer, not meant to be ultraportable. Still it's nice that it is portable.

Family party

This evening we had a party at Jesus Church. We have a church party every month. It's fun when we gather. Although we are quite a few and I don't know every one so well, I still feel that we are one big family. I really feel that they are all my lovely brothers and sisters.
