Game of Prayer

On Monday evening we were some people gathered at Solbjørg's place. We played a pretty fun game. It works like this: You all sit in a ring, for example around a table. One person holds a ball, for example a juggling ball. You name a prayer subject and throws the ball to any other person in the ring. This person prays for the subject, names a new prayer subject and throws the ball to any other person in the ring. This is a pretty fun way to pray :)

Fire on the Altar

On Sunday evening I downloaded a toolbar for Internet Explorer. The toolbar had instant access to a radio station called "Fire on the Altar". It was amazing. I listened to the radio for hours, while The Holy Spirit ministered to me. I just trembled in Gods presence. You can download the toolbar here.

Local newspaper

This evening I was twisting balloons for about 75 children in the age 10-13. There were also a journalist from a local newspaper interviewing me. For those of you wanting to read this interview - it will be in the 27. October edition of "Lokalavisen Groruddalen" (local newspaper for Groruddalen).

Maximum twisting

From 12 - 15. October I worked 22 hours twisting balloons on a big store named "Maxbo" on Alna. They have more than 100 employees there and a cantine with free food for all of them - and for us artists. Above the food stand it was written "Det er umulig å inspirere på tom mage" (It's impossible to inspire on an emty stomach). They had what they called "Maximale dager" (Maximum days). They had different artists like clowns and a magician, activities for the children and free popcorn and stuff. While advertising this campaign, they sent out half a million commercial newspapers with my picture on it. I have received some feedback from people noticing it.

While I was on Maxbo on Alna, Torhild was on Maxbo on Vækerø. They were also a part of this big arrangement, and some artists were rotating between these centers / big shops.

The picture to the left shows a balloon clown I made for an entrance to the shopping center.
The picture to the right shows a part of a commercial sign that was set up at Maxbo.

Balloons in Amsterdam

From 7 - 10. October I was attending the Qualatex Event in Amsterdam, a big event for balloon professionals wanting to learn more and meet other professionals. There were attendants from 30 different nations. I learned a lot, especially on balloon decorating. We were 9 attendants from Norway, a new norwegian record, indicating that this is a growing business in our country.

Unfortunately I didn't have time to stay longer and meet my dutch friends, as I had to return to Norway and prepare for a balloon-twisting job on a shopping center.

Trip to Stavanger

From 4 - 6. October I was on a business trip to Stavanger, a norwegian city. I gave Torhild Jørgensen some more teaching on balloon twisting to prepare her for a bigger job in Oslo. She has joined me on some smaller jobs earlier and received some teaching, but this was preparation for her first big solo job.

Radio interview sent

The radio program with my interview was sent on 5. October. I've been pretty busy lately, so I haven't had time to listen to it until this evening. It's still available on the internet, but it won't be there for long. Start the live-streaming version of the radio channel named P1. Write "Balsam" in the search field (marked "Søk etter program"). Then enter the link named 05.10(18:05 - 18:40), meaning the program that was sent on 5. october between 18:05 (6:05 pm) and 18:40 (6:40 pm). The program is in norwegian and starts out with music. More than 1.4 million listen to P1 every day.

This picture shows Ragnhild Lund Ansnes, who conducted the interview. The source is this page which belongs to NRK.
