Preaching at Rjukan

I just came back from being three days at Rjukan. I stayed with a nice family there, preached in a church yesterday morning and got to see the Industrial Worker's Museum earlier today. This museum is built on the site of the world's first commercial heavy water plant, which was built in 1934.

My Bold Friend Stig

Women give birth to babies. Men have to propose. I have a bold friend named Stig, that just did such a thing. In not so very long my friend Solbjørg is gonna be his wife.

Baptism

Today I baptised my two sisters Elin and Else. We had the baptism at "Tueneset" beach.

Left: So... Do you believe in Jesus?
Right: Do you see any fish here?

Left: 1001, 1002, 1003... How long should I count before pulling her up?
Right: Was the water too hot for you?

Left: Look... That guy is taking pictures.
Right: In the name of...

Left: Finally I can breathe again.
Right: The old has passed... Everything is new!

Football Feber

Last year Ålesund got it own football stadion. This stadion can hold just a little more than 10 000 people. On all matches this far on the stadion, it has been more than 10 000 people there. That's remarkable in a city with 40 000 people.

Today I watched the first whole football match in my life. This time there were only 9 500 people present on the stadion. There was an incredible atmosphere. People were cheering and having fun. Before the match, they were waving big supporter flags on the football field.

I can't help thinking what if this 10 000 entusiastic people was gathered here to cheer for Jesus.

Joachim's Confirmation

My nephew Joachim had his confirmation today. Here you see him with his grandmother on the father side.

Molde

Today I went on a day-trip to Molde, to visit friends.

Beautiful Ålesund

Today I went to Ålesund, the town where I was born. I'm gonna stay here about a week and visit family and friends.
